A Really BIG Question

What’s the deal with this elephant on my stage, in my space… seriously cramping my style?

The problem; does this sound familiar?

You’re breezing along trying to get where you are going… achieving your dream… making that indelible impression…living your passion;  but you simply refuse to see and acknowledge that BIG ‘something’ which is blocking your passage and forever steering you off course.

It is tiring…

Side stepping a large pachyderm seems easier than listening to her, finding out why she here in front of you; and what it would take to convince her to relocate. Your space is critically compromised and your energy is flagging from exerting all this extra energy circling around her girth – take it from  someone who once sewed tutus for Barnum and Bailey Circus elephants, there’s a lot there!

My expertise…

As a life performance speaker and coach, body/sound therapist and Reiki master, I can tell you firsthand that what seems to be stopping you is really the key to what can propel you forward. You may experience a twinge or pain in in your body; but rest assured, the issue first manifested energetically: emotionally or spiritually. Energetic patterns speak to me, drawing me to them like magnets.  I can help you decipher, decode, diffuse and re-direct their pull.

What to do?

Actually, if you stop to listen and get to know your ‘elephant’, she may just turn out to be your best friend and biggest ally. She’s really quite influential and can serve your best interests once you enlist her wisdom. Who wouldn’t want that kind or power behind them; people would certainly notice you!!!

Here are four tips to help comfortably and playfully address your elephant so you can reach your goal.

Tip #1

Stop, look and listen; yes… the same strategy you were taught to safely cross the road. Notice the circumstances surrounding your situation, see if it is all clear to proceed, confirming what you really want of the situation. Notice any resistance – is there an elephant standing in your path?

Tip #2

If that glamorous pachyderm appears in your line of vision, address her; ask why she’s in your space and what she wants. If you don’t take this crucial step, she will most likely be offended that you ignored her, stubbornly standing firm and silent.

Tip #3

OK. That was a BIG step. You are in dialogue and a lot of information and support can be gathered. Consider inviting  someone else in to your circle to be of assistance, because both you and your elephant friend may have a whole lifetime of excuses and perceptions blocking you from truly hearing each other.

Tip #4:

Imagine what your life will look like once you truly befriend your elephant. Create this scenario, re-write your script and move beyond that chronic holding pattern…You are on your way to delivering your most dazzling  life performance on whatever stage you choose!

Extra credit question: Why did the elephant cross the road?

Answer: Because she wanted to. If she has a really good reason to stay put, she’s not going anywhere.
