CHICKEN FREEDOM VIDEO

This video was sent to me on Facebook. I find it touching on so many levels; its message universal and moving. In it I recognize the essence of the work that I do.

As I write this I hear the ‘gobble’ of a turkey outside my window, it reminds me of how we are all connected – all the time. All it takes is ‘tuning in’ to what is within and what ‘surrounds’ us to capture the divine diversity that, when allowed to fully express its nature, enriches our existence.

These chickens, upon being freed from their heretofore lifetime prisons of cages, are reintroduced to their natural environment, granted the freedom to move about and to simply ‘be’ – a basic right, I believe, of all beings.

Previous to their liberation, they were denied expression of their natural nature. Crowded together, cramped and dominated for the sole purpose of what they could produce, they were reduced to a commodity, unable to literally spread their wings and walk; feel the sunshine on their backs and freely develop natural bonds.

How does this this relate to my message as a bodyworker and a performance coach?

My mission is to help you tune into your body and express your inner voice to heal, feel good and present your best self. You cannot present your best self if you allow yourself to be held back, silenced or otherwise get in your own way.

While we do not have control of how we may be treated by others, we do have the choice to express our truth. It is within that expression we fully develop and share our gifts; enriching all that we ‘touch’.

I believe the objective of our existence is to be ourselves through and through.

Connecting with and listening to our inner selves, to what our bodies have to say is the essence of healing. Allowing ourselves to be heard and accepted, each in our unique quirkiness, is what diversity is all about; all different, yet connected and never truly alone on our paths. We all need one another, we all need help; we all need to be heard.

I challenge you to reach out to someone in some way and share, allow yourself to spread your wings in expression. Feel the connection, strengthen as you share with one another, freely and for the purpose of simply being you.
